ABOUT
English soprano, Amelia Belle graduated from the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music where she studied under the tutelage of Sandra Dugdale.
She regularly sings at weddings throughout the country and also performs for concerts, events, TV and radio. As a soloist she has sung across Europe in venues such as Ghent, Reims, Barcelona and Cologne Cathedrals.
Amelia's TV engagements include singing on BBC's TV series 'The choir' with Gareth Malone (2006), ITVs 'In for a penny' with Stephen Mulhern (2019) and ITVs Christmas Carol service (2019).
Amelia’s most recent choral performances include singing in Haydn's Creation in The BBC Proms with the BBC Proms Youth Choir at The Royal Albert Hall. This was broadcast live on BBC Radio Three. She also sang as a guest of Halle Youth Choir, in Manchester's International Festival at the premiere of the 'The Anvil.'
Amelia made her operatic debut in 2013 as Mrs Sem, in a professionally staged production of Noye's Fludde, conducted by Oliver Gooch. In 2017 she performed as one of the three spirits in Mozart's, The Magic Flute, conducted by Nigel Wilkinson (St. John's Opera). In 2019 she sang in ‘Dialogues des Carmalites’ by Francis Poulenc, with The RNCM chorus at The Royal Northern College of Music. She recently sang the role of Annchen in Der Freischutz by Weber, Amy in Little Women by Mark Adamo and Angelica in Orlando in RNCM Opera Scenes.
In her first year of sixth form at Beaconsfield High School she established the Baroque Choir. In its first year the choir won a prestigious award at The Marlow Music Festival and performed in front of the Duchess of Kent. In its second year Amelia conducted the choir in Barcelona Cathedral.
